The ideal time to visit Chiang Mai is during the cool season, from November to February. With clear skies, mild temperatures (15–28°C / 59–82°F), and low humidity, it’s perfect for sightseeing, outdoor adventures, and attending the famous Yi Peng Lantern Festival in November.
Other Seasons:
Hot Season (March to May): Expect high temps (up to 40°C / 104°F). Great for local festivals like Songkran (Thai New Year), but stay hydrated!
Rainy Season (June to October): Lush green landscapes and fewer tourists. Afternoon showers are common but often short-lived.
